The medleys in the music of Status Quo.

Medley (or Potpourrie): Mixture of different music tracks in one song. (thats what the dictionairy says) Better said, a medley is a hit-mixture, a short form of different hits in one song. A well-known band of medleys was the band: Stars on 45, who were known only by their medleys.

Since many years Status Quo are including medleys in their live set. A band with so many hits like Status Quo cannot play each hit song live - the setlist would last for hours - impossible. So they came up with the idea to cover some of their hits in medleys. Here you have all medleys of Status Quo.

29.03.2000: At the performance in the show "Gottschalks TV-Welt" Status Quo played a medley of the songs: Caroline - In the army now - Rockin all over the world. Because Drummer Jeff Rich had left the band and no new drummer was there the Status Quo producer Mike Paxman was on the drums.

06.04.2000: At the "Eddison Award" which Status Quo got from the dutch television, Status Quo played the following songs in an Amsterdam TV studio: In the army now - Whatever you want - Rockin all over the world. Again Mike Paxman was the drummer.

Basically no medley, but a mix of songs was the album-trailer, which was included on the single "The Way it goes" released in 1999. This trailer contained songs of the forthcoming album "Under the Influence", which was due to be released in a few weeks at the time. On this trailer you could here bits from the new album.
