SITE INTRO 21st December 2007: The idea of setting up my own website has been floating around for quite a while and I’ve now finally got around to making a start here thanks to Jurgen Adametz who suggested and kindly offered to help put it together and look after it. I’ve long been an admirer of his quoticker.de site and have checked it out and referred to it many times over the past few years. Along with the many other Status Quo sites it’s a great source of up to date and historical information and the quality and amount of in-depth info never ceases to amaze me all of which was incredibly useful when I was compiling the 40th Anniversary ‘Just Doin It’ book. The number of Quo websites and Cover Bands around the world is a real testament to their outstanding international popularity. The new, updated and official www.statusquo.co.uk site is excellent and amalgamating it with Gert Ohlssons .com site has really worked well. I guess you could say it’s now ‘The Mother of all Quo sites’ :o) I do hope this new bobyoungticker.de site will be of interest to the Quo fans around the world who have been kind enough to show an interest in my 40 years association with the band and also to my family and friends who might occasionally want to check out where I’ve been, where I am now and hopefully where I’m going…..I’ll try and keep it regularly updated and will be interested to hear any feedback you might have.
