It’s all go….last week I went with Francis to his rehearsals for his solo UK Tour in May and it was brilliant. I loved the songs and his band and I really do advise anyone who hasn’t yet bought tickets for one of the shows to get on to it right away. You really won’t be disappointed. And he’ll be playing a long set. I can’t tell you the set list or any more info just yet. You’ll just have to take my word for it.
So they got their OBE’s at Buckingham Palace and had a great day out…
I can’t remember if I told you I went to Moscow just before Christmas with my good friend Maksim the Croatian classical pianist. Only there for 24 hours but we had a great time. He was playing a private party for the wife of a friend of the Russian President. And what a party it was. It took us a couple of days to get over that one.
And talking of parties…last Saturday I went over to Belfast in N.Ireland for the end of filmining party for the movie ‘Killing Bono’ that Joe Echo has written and produced all of the music for. It was 5am before we got finished and there were some very tired and emotional people still left almost standing.
Micky Moody and I have been getting a few more things sorted out for the release of a new Young & Moody compilation album and also a re-release of my ‘In Quo Country’ album. Once these are released we’re going to record a brand new Y&M album of new songs.
Rob Fletcher some of you might remember did the artwork for a couple of Quo single sleeves. He is also my partner in ‘ROCKARD’, the range of rock merchandise we first had out fifteen years ago. I’m very happy to say that the whole range and more with the addition of lots of new designs and characters is being produced again. So I’ll keep you posted and be looking for your support in a couple of months when the Rockard website and shop goes up live. I’m feeling very good about this.
Oh yes… a belated happy birthday to my webmeister Jurgen Adametz who does such good work on my website. Thanks again Jurgen.
Sorry this Blog is a little shorter than usual but will make up for it soon in the next one.
PS I’ve just found another box of excellent old photos form the seventies which I need to sort out and start getting up on the site. One things for sure it’ll be long time before I run out of photos to put up.
Catch you soon.
Cheers
