Piledriver 1973

Cover LP Piledriver Vertigo 6360 082
The original album was released only on LP format in Germany. It is the first album released on the new label VERTIGO. The Vertigo label became well-known because of the space-ships on the labels and because of the famous swirl-labels. The space-ship motiv was created by pop art painter Roger Dean, who became known because of his fantasy pictures on the YES album covers and some of URIAH HEEP covers. All his paintings are featured in his book "Views". It is the first album which was self-produced by Status Quo. This album marked the break-through in UK.
